Feelin' Better
I am almost feeling human again. It is good to be back. I called the doctors office this morning and spoke with the nurse. She said that the lab results were in but, the doctor would have to call me back with them. So now I'm waiting for him to call. I'm really not stressing over it. What will be, will be. Fretting over it isn't going to help change it. Baseball and swim wrap up next week. I am looking forward to being able to slow down a little. Cameron has been invited to continue training over the winter. Only 15 were selected and it is by invitation only. It is kinda a big deal but, I'm not sure if I'm willing to commit to it. There is just so much going to be happening between now and Christmas. With all the school and church stuff our calender is filling up fast. I guess ultimately it will be Cam's decision. I'm just the chauffeur. The kids get report cards this week. Matt is so stressed out. They actually get letter grades in kindergarten. He is such a perfectionist that he's going to have ulcers by the time he is seven. I need to come up with some type of a reward night for them. I know that Chucky Cheese gives free tokens for A's. The problem with that is Cameron hates Chucky Cheese. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Is Chucky Cheese in Jacksonville? How about Adventure Landing Golf? I think I have some free coupons if you want them. How about bowling, skating or Build a Bear workshop in the Avenues Mall in Jacksonville or the Oaks Mall in Gainsville. Maybe get a few friends together and go to Pizza Hut for dinner or lunch. Tell Matt it's not good for him to stress just do his best and that's all you expect. Hunter is SUCH a WORRIER that it bothers me and I haven't been able to stop it either.
I'm so glad to hear your test results came back okay.
I wish I had some suggestions about rewards, but I don't have the first clue.
hey I am glad to hear the good news
Great to hear you are feeling better! I think it is great Cameron has been invited to continue with the swimming! I am glad you have such a commitment to your children! It is rare these days. (After all, our kids are our future.)
I Like Sherry's ideas! Build a bear is fun for both boys and girls. Putt putt was a favorite for my two. Bowling is good for a few laughs in our house. (watching Alicia and I bowl is comical we are told!)
Alicia is like Matt when it comes to stressing out. In kindergarten she would take forever to do her paper work, because she wanted it to be perfect. I had to remind her that God wants us to do our best. And if she truly had done her best, then God, her Daddy and I were proud of her.
As she got older, she would stress out over similar things.I would ask if she had done her best. If she had, then I would tell her then it is good enough. If she had not given her best effort, I would ask her what was she going to do about it. usually, she would make the right choices.
I also like to ask Myself this question.. Am I following God's lead, or am I trying to lead? When I try to control things, instead of allowing God to take control,I usually fail.
