Under the Knife

I'm home. The surgery went very well, and now I'm waiting ... I'm waiting for the meds to wear off and for me to start really hurting. Kinda dreading that part. The surgeon said that every thing looks good. He couldn't even find a mass, just some inflamed tissue. He took a small sample for testing and removed the milk duct. Once I have completely healed I will no longer be bleeding. I have been tired and sickly for quite some time now due to the loss of blood that was occuring. I can't wait to have energy again. God has answered many prayers. I will be much more vigiliant for potential problems for now on. I'm tired and the oxycotin is really kicking in now. I need to go to bed before I start saying things that will only serve to embarass me. Thanks to everyone for the prayers.

Jenna,
I am glad our prayers were answered, and all went well! I hope the meds do there job, and make your recovery go smoothly. You will know when you no longer need the Oxycotin, I have no doubt! At any rate, dear one, I hope it takes care of your pain!
When I had surgery on both my knees about 6 years ago, The doc gave me Oxycotin and told me to take it every 3 hours without fail, in order to "stay ahead" of the pain. On the 3rd day home from the hospital, I persuaded David to go to work, and that I could hobble to the bathroom on crutches only if necessary. I went to the bathroom before he left, and took my meds. I was propped comfortably in my chair when I glanced up. The light fixture in the center of our family room suddenly started to grow roots! They COMPLETELY covered the whole ceiling.. I struggled to the bathroom as fast as I could, and Flushed the remainder of the pills. I called the Doctor and told him what I had done. He said he could see right then, I was in no danger of getting hooked!Ha, ha! (I told him Tylenol three would do in a pinch after that.) I honestly can't see why people would take the stuff if they didn't need it!
Please get plenty of rest, and listen to the doctor, so you have a speedy recovery!
